:I Eheh. This is a massive sketch dump of the characters I've been drawing as visual studies of these artists: Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, Aubrey Beardsley, Eiichiro Oda, Hans Bellmer, Yoshitaka Amano, Tony Fucile and Freddy Moore.
It's a really fun summer project for uni but I need to get it done already so I can get back to webcomic/competition entries >_< Tch.
If you're bored or have some time on your hands, try matching up the drawings to the artists - I'd love to hear which you think is which! ;D
And as always, don't steal anything. The influencing styles may not be mine, but the drawings sure as hell are. So no stealin'!
Media: Mechanical pencil, biro pen, coloured pencil, Copic multiliners and markers (Oh how I missed using these babies...).
Omg wow. Just wow to all of this. Its like ;_; you see it and then you keep looking and look closer and you notice more stuff and its like EVERYTHING IS DETAILED AND METICULOUSLY DONE and how did you even do that with markers and stuff and geeez ok ok so the one I was looking at the longest is that woman wearing all the silks and clothes, cause I COULD FRAKIN TELL THEY WERE SILK hahaha xD and the cloooooooothes and also the girl playing in the sand and the hat girl and the one in pink on the left/artists'right and the lady in the top left and the middle guy with the shawl....ok I'm pretty much gonna end up listing all of em....(I end up doing this sometimes...) SO YEAH THIS WHOLE PAGE IS FULL OF WIN!!!
Thank you! And for the fave too ^^ Those two are quite similar in terms of their black and white works. Sometimes its nice to draw something just a little different from normal, you know? I'm thinking these guys'll probably influence more of my future work anyway haha.
I'd say they're similar mainly because Aubrey Beardsley's style was inspired by Japanese woodblock prints and it would seem the same goes for Yoshitaka Amano ^^. Their styles are so elegant and beautiful to look at, it's hard not to be influenced by them XD!
